A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with PreK students. This position, located near Richmond, CA, offers the chance to make a lasting impact on children and their families, helping to build strong foundations for future success. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, offering full-time hours between 35–37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active California ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) credential is a must

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with PreK or early learners with diverse needs
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and individualized instruction
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction for PreK students with special needs
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with parents and team members
• Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Engage in parent meetings, staff collaboration, and professional development
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state requirements
